What is better, Three Phase or Single-Phase Unit?

Three phase motors are more efficient and durable than Single phase counterparts. Three Phase motors and switch gear are more readily available than Single Phase components.

What are the Water Requirements

  • Minimum pressure and volume for unit operating on fresh water is 12 GPM @ 40PSI.
  • NS offers Booster pump with Holding tanks for all systems to deal with low volume/pressure applications.
  • NS Also offers RO systems with RO Reject Water Harvesting which can operate on as little as 5 GPM @ 30PSI.
  • The system will use approximately 12 gallons per car during a 45 second wash cycle.

Can I Retrofit my Existing Pressure-Wash Carwash bay?

Yes, sites that have wash pads with drainage to Oil Water Separators can easily be adapted to accept the automated systems. In most cases, additional permit is not required.

How much Water Discharge can I Expect?

The NS system will discharge approximately 10 gallons per car considering evaporation and runoff.

Do I Need a Water Reclamation System?

This depends on municipality, during new construction, municipalities can require water reclamation. The Reverse Osmosis reject water harvesting is the most economical water reclaim option and has been recognized nationwide as an alternative to standard water reclaim where you reuse water from previous wash cycles.

What Options do i have Regarding Cleaning Materials?

NS Offers soft fiber brushes or foam brushes as a no cost option. Both options share our patented ECO motion design that offers both vertical and horizontal scrubbing for best car quality.

How long is the washing process?

  • NS drive through system average 40 seconds per car, car traveling at foot per second. Max 60 cars per hour.
  • NS Drive in Back Out Average 90 seconds per car. Max 30 cars per hour.

How Much Chemicals,like Soaps and Waxes, are used?

  • ECO and CT units Come with Soap pump in tamper proof enclosure. System uses under 1 ounce per car.
  • Lubricating (non-foam soap) recommended for fiber brush and light Foam soap option for the foam brush option.
  • NS also offers optional pumps for Rinse Wax and Rinse aid when used in conjunction with blower.

How Lengthy is the Installation process?

  • NS system installations take anywhere from 3 to 5 days depending on the options selected.
  • NS has nationwide installation and service network that can be contracted direct.
  • NS can also include the installation scope with your equipment order for one stop shopping.

What is your Track Record?

NS Systems were designed for the rental industry airport markets. The average life span is approximately 12 years at 400 cars per day with minor PM and wear and tear replacement. For example, Minneapolis terminal 1 has units installed in 1999 opening still in service.

  • Pre-Wash Arch. High volume and pressure to rinse dirt and debris before entering system eliminating need for prewash in most instances.
  • Water Reclamation. NS offers a below and Above ground water reclamation system. Above ground clarifier option available.
  • RO Systems. NS offers RO systems ranging from 1,800 gallons per day and up. We offer Anti Scalant injection option to help extend membrane life negating need for water softeners and constant replenishment of salt in Brine tanks.
  • Rinse Wax injection pumps with tamper proof enclosures. Recommend for systems with blowers.
  • Blower/Dryer. NS offers multiple blower design configurations to operate within space and Electrical available.
  • Utility Track for electrical and Plumbing Lines to streamline installations and reduce Electrical and plumbing cost.
